About Dotty
Dotty originally earned her B.A. from Fresno State University immediately out of high school. After teaching for 28 years, she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Grand Canyon University, which has enabled her to teach student teachers at the university level and participate in the California Virtual Academy. As a teacher of more than 35 years, her unique educational experiences include teaching in a one-room-eight-graded school, supervising and teaching student teachers, and owning an educational store. As a public school teacher her responsibilities besides being a classroom teacher included instructing family classes in math, science, reading, and language; serving as a district mentor; serving on many district committees; being a master teacher; writing grants and Distinguished School Applications, and creating 4-6 school wide events each year. During the past 20 years, she has also worked closely with Mendocino Farm Bureau agricultural Committee, which she now chairs, Ag in the Classroom, and contributed to the Food, Land and People gram and the Mendocino County After School 4-H program.
I would love to share a possible home schooling option for you and your child if you live in California.
